What is the "Walking tour"?

The Walking Tour offers a shared guided experience through the ruins of Pompeii. Unlike traditional guided tours where you bear the full cost, here you'll share the experience with others at a standard rate of €23 per person. The tour is available in both English and Italian languages.

How many people are in a group?

The group size may vary, but rest assured, each group will never exceed 30 participants.

How long does the tour last?

The Walking tour of Pompeii lasts two hours.

Where do I find the Meeting Point?

The Meeting Point with the guides is in Pompei Scavi – Villa dei Misteri Circumvesuviana Station, on the first floor. Pompei Scavi is a small station and there is only one staircase that leads to the meeting point on first floor, so it’s hard to be missed. Otherwise, please ask our info-point on platform 1.

What will I see during the tour?

Our WALKING TOUR (guided tour) offers a classic archaeological experience, also perfect for those visiting Pompeii for the first time. Our guides will take you through the daily life of ancient Pompeii and show you the most significant remains and monuments.

Are there any reductions for childdren?

Yes, for children from 0 to 17 years old it is free. From 18 to 24 years old from European community with an identification document, the cost is 2 euros.

What is a private tour?

A private tour offers the flexibility to book a guide exclusively for yourself or your family, without joining a group. This means you can customize your tour according to your preferences. Additionally, we can organize tours for larger groups upon request, with the option of providing earphone devices for enhanced audio experience.

What if I am late?

First of all, please contact us promptly to check if there is still availability to join the tour. If not, as per our cancellation policy, a 100% penalty will be applied, with no possibility of refund. However, under certain circumstances and if feasible, we may consider rescheduling the booking for a later tour.

What if weather is bad?

Before deciding to cancel a tour due to adverse weather conditions, please contact our customer service. The decision to proceed with the Walking Tour or not is at the discretion of the Company, based on legal and safety considerations, taking into account the expected meteorological conditions for the entire duration of the tour. If the tour is deemed impractical, we will refund the total amount paid for the tour.

Are you a professor or a teacher planning on visiting Pompeii?

Regardless of your students' age, our guides will be able to ignite interest in Roman history with engaging visits and captivating explanations. Therefore, we offer various types of tours based on the students' age. We can tailor a tour according to the students' levels and the requirements of the school program, whether for primary, middle, high school, or university students. Guided tours are available not only in Pompeii but also in any other site of interest in our region, such as Herculaneum, Naples, Mount Vesuvius, Oplontis, Stabia, Paestum, the Amalfi Coast, Capri, and Ischia.

I would like to visit the ruins with my family, the tour is suitable for children?

We are more than happy to tailor the tour to suit your kids' needs. Topics like eruptions, volcanoes, and gladiators are typically very appealing to children. So, rest assured when visiting Pompeii with your kids: our tours are designed with the entire family in mind.

Can I carry a luggage/backpack inside the archaeological site? Is there a deposit?"

To guarantee the safeguarding of archaeological sites and the safety of all visitors, starting from February 15th, 2015, larger luggage or backpacks exceeding the dimensions of 30x30x15 cm are not permitted. Visitors have the option to utilize the cloakroom service to store their belongings free of charge.
